Keep. The. Baby. Alive. Lily Bellow's mantra for life.
What is the most memorable moment from your 18th year?
Truly I think I was in such a senior year haze, all my memories are mostly snapshots and feelings and smells. But I did direct a play which I remember every single moment of doing.
When did you feel like you became an adult?
When I spent a predictable 45 minutes a month on the phone with Time Warner Cable disputing my bill and realized, no one else will do this and I really need this $5 they overcharged me. Then I had a baby and realized, oops I was wrong I'm not an adult.
What is most important rule you follow?
Keep. The baby. Alive.
What is the worst rule you’ve broken?
If you tell me something is a Rule, I am going to try as hard as I can to follow it because I am a lame person and I am scared of getting in trouble. But probably the worst personal "rule" I've broken is not speaking to the people I love with more respect and care 100% of the time.
Also one time I accidentally (ok, not totally accidentally) stole a croissant from an airport!
What rule would you love to break, but haven’t?
Walking through the open subway "emergency exit" gate without paying a fare. I'm getting flushed just thinking about it.
Who’s the biggest rule-breaker you know?
I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to pick someone iconoclastic and badass but the real answer to this question is clearly Donald Trump and I can't talk about it because I'm going to start raging out at my keyboard.
What rule do you wish more people would follow?
Try to be kind.
