Cherry Picking turns 25 this year - which means it’s due for a quarter-life crisis. What advice would you give to your past or future 25 year old self, or to Cherry Picking right now?

Perfection doesn’t exist. Take the left turn, get lost and make mistakes. Learn about the world and the place you want to have in it. And, have fun! Those cheap dinners, gnarly apartment situations and random work experiences will make for awesome stories.

It’s our Silver Anniversary this year – if you had your own heavy metal band what would you call it?

Semi Precious.

Tell us about the last time you tried something brand new?

I tried kite surfing - and quickly realized my stability and apparent strength on land is worth diddly on water. I looked nothing like the strong graceful women doing it one-handed with their free hand skimming the water as they wizzed by. I was launched high into the air, swaying massively from side to side before frequently being dragged through the water over a very shallow coral bed to my utter humiliation and exhaustion. I gave it 3 gos before deciding perhaps not for me!

The warmth and camaraderie of pickers. And waves and waves of laughter.

If Cherry Picking were a cocktail (or mocktail), what would be in it?

Amaretto, bourbon, ginger ale and something unexpected like kiwi or dragon fruit.
