The In-Between with Nina Mehta
Nina Mehta is a CP anchor. We all feel better when she is in the room. As an actor and committee member, she is THE one. But amidst all that- she remains one of Cherry Picking's fiercest advocates and cheerleaders- she has a way of making everything better. We are all so much better for any and all the time we have to be in her orbit.
Check out Nina’s visit to the blog:
What was your first CP year? How were you involved (audience, actor, writer, producer, front of house, tech)?
2015. I came on as actor. I keep coming back and will as long as I’m asked!
How are you living - if at all - in a liminal space currently?
Fearlessly and in search of joy. Trying to anyway because nothing feels permanent right now. Middle-age also does that to you even as you sit with more fear and worry than you did 20 years ago.
Describe a time when you had absolutely no idea what would happen next?
November 9, 2016.
What’s worse: the moment after a sharp inhale or before a long sigh?
After a sharp inhale but not by much. The long sigh is always warranted and needed. Life is hard.
You’re stuck between two people in the middle seat on an airplane, buckled up for a long flight. Who are your ideal OR nightmare seatmates?
My great-aunt who passed away 15 years ago and my friend Greg, who passed away two years ago. We never have enough time with the people in our lives. One I was blessed to have for most of my life and the other was a criminally short time. I have so much more to hear from both of them.
Ice cream sandwich or deli sandwich? (Be specific)
Ice cream sandwich. Hands down. It’s a perfect sweet treat.
Don't miss Nina on stage on Monday, July 13 at this year's Cherry Picking.
