The In-Between with Truly Siskind-Weiss
Truly! Truly! Truly! Truly has TRULY made the Pick so much of what it is today. Behind the scenes, she was a huge part of our journey, impacting so much of our current practice. On the page and on stage, Truly is a Picker who has brought us some of our most memorable moments. Thankfully, she's on this side of the pond and can join us on stage for this year's Cherry Picking.
What was your first CP year? How were you involved (audience, actor, writer, producer, front of house, tech)?
My first year was 2016, and I was the house manager. Since then, I’ve been an intern, writer, actor and reading committee member!
How are you living - if at all - in a liminal space currently?
Well, my husband is still in the UK waiting on a visa at the moment. So my life is spent very much in between here and England. In many ways, our lives as a couple is in a liminal space, as we are waiting to be able to build a life together in NYC.
Describe a time when you had absolutely no idea what would happen next?
The first thing that comes to mind is my college graduation. I remember one of the speakers saying “today is the first day of your life where tomorrow hasn’t been planned for you.” It’s the first time in my life that I was truly unsure of what would come next.
What’s worse: the moment after a sharp inhale or before a long sigh?
The moment after a sharp inhale.
You’re stuck between two people in the middle seat on an airplane, buckled up for a long flight. Who are your ideal OR nightmare seatmates?
Hmmm, I recently saw (and loved) both performers in Every Brilliant Thing, and I think Daniel Radcliffe and Mariska Hargitay would be a randomly awesome pair to sit with.
Ice cream sandwich or deli sandwich? (Be specific)
Ice cream sandwich. Specifically a Chip Which!
Don't miss Truly on Tuesday, July 14 at the Wild Project!
