The In-Between with Ashley Lauren Rogers

Ashley joined the CP company in the dark times when we were forced to celebrate the Pick from our homes. Lucky for us all, she's back for another year on the CP stage, featured in Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend’s We Beseech Thee. Even luckier for her, she's not yet had to share her seats with spiders in trench coats.

What was your first CP year? How were you involved (audience, actor, writer, producer, front of house, tech)?

I don't remember the year but I joined during the Pandemic as an actor and finally came back last year IRL!

How are you living - if at all - in a liminal space currently?

…Luminally.

Describe a time when you had absolutely no idea what would happen next?

I know I've experienced this, but honestly I can't think of a specific time (or the idea of not knowing what would happen next terrifies me to the point of forcing myself to forget).

What’s worse: the moment after a sharp inhale or before a long sigh?

After a sharp inhale absolutely. It brings all the oxygen and everything in quickly and feels heavy. Before a long sigh you at least know it's going to be released shortly.

You’re stuck between two people in the middle seat on an airplane, buckled up for a long flight. Who are your ideal OR nightmare seatmates?

Ideal, tiny people. I take up a lot of space and am claustrophobic so folks who don't take up much space at least lets me relax and spread out a bit. Nightmare definitely a bunch of spiders in trench coats. Never had to sit next to them but sure wouldn't like to!

Ice cream sandwich or deli sandwich? (Be specific)

Deli sandwich. Usually some form of roast beef sandwich. Ice cream is great but the cookies get too cold and hard or are made too soft and stick to your fingers.
