The In-Between with Zach Libresco

Zach is back! Coming to us as an audience member in 2021, Zach knew CP was a home and we knew we wanted him in the middle of the Pick. 5 years later, Zach is still making CP a part of his summer and joining us on stage- WE couldn't be more inspired.

What was your first CP year? How were you involved (audience, actor, writer, producer, front of house, tech)?

I came to my first CP because I knew Emmie Finckel (thank you Emmie!). I was an audience member and when I walked into The Wild Project, I immediately felt so at home. Strangers were offering me champagne and cherries. This was 2021 so it was just so wonderful to share space with others again. At the beginning of the night, Clare let everybody know that they CP was breaking the form because they were reading a section of a longer play. After that, I heard Dhari Noel's "Man Made," and I was so inspired. I couldn't have asked for a better way to meet CP.

How are you living - if at all - in a liminal space currently?

I am getting married this summer -- so, while I have very much enjoyed it, I am excited to exit the liminal space that is affianced!

Describe a time when you had absolutely no idea what would happen next?

Has to be the moment in Game 2 when Wembanyama threw the ball off of Stephon Castle's back and Jalen Brunson not only scooped it up, but was then fouled and hit the game winning free throw. Knicks in five.

What’s worse: the moment after a sharp inhale or before a long sigh?

The moment after a sharp inhale. I hate jump scares.

You’re stuck between two people in the middle seat on an airplane, buckled up for a long flight. Who are your ideal OR nightmare seatmates?

Ideally, I'm between my fiancée and an empty seat and there are an array of action movies akin to Unstoppable in the movie library, so we can get the 4DX feeling while flying!

Ice cream (non-sandwich edition) > Trader Joe's chipwich > ice cream sandwich
