The In-Between with Hannah H. Pettus
Hannah H. Pettus might hail from Texas, but she is a Cherry Picker through and through. Hannah joined the CP company in 2019 as an actor, taking the stage for Dhari Noel’s inaugural reading of Man Made and remaining with the cast through its workshop performance at Wild Project. This year, Hannah adds playwright to her CP résumé, and we could not be happier.
Check out what Hannah shared with us:
What was your first CP year? How were you involved (audience, actor, writer, producer, front of house, tech)?
My first year in Cherry Picking was in 2019! I started as an actor and this year I’m making my debut as a writer!
How are you living - if at all - in a liminal space currently?
As a mom I think I’m constantly living in a liminal space. Always wanting to skip ahead while also being afraid to blink and miss it all.
Describe a time when you had absolutely no idea what would happen next?
Literally every day of my life. But the good news is, figuring out what comes next is NOT my job (:
What’s worse: the moment after a sharp inhale or before a long sigh?
Definitely the moment right before a sharp inhale. No further explanation necessary.
You’re stuck between two people in the middle seat on an airplane, buckled up for a long flight. Who are your ideal OR nightmare seatmates?
Ideally …. Next to two feuding bravolebrities. Nightmare…. Next to two feuding bravolebrities
Ice cream sandwich or deli sandwich? (Be specific)
Deli all day. A nice bacon egg and cheese on a croissant or a freshly chopped cheese with bacon, a side of jalapeño chips and a country club raspberry soda
You can catch Hannah on stage both nights this year. And do NOT miss her new play, The House That Kept Her, on Monday, July 14th.
